Panic attacks

Panic attacks! They’re the worst! So how can we overcome them? My name is Abby Moore here on the mentally beautiful podcast. Last year, I went through a lot of hard times because of anxiety. Many people have no idea just how much anxiety can affect your body. But panic attacks are when we are completely out of control and we are in desperate need of grounding. So if you ever experience a panic attack here are a few things you can try. Look around the room, name 5 things you can see, 4 things you can hear, 3 things you can feel, 2 things you can smell and 1 thing you can taste. This is a destructing technique to use to focus on something else rather than panicking. There is also the rescue breath. Breathe in real fast, hold for 4 counts and breathe out real hard. Only try this a couple of times and it should bring you back to the present moment.
